Interior spaces provide protection and intimacy. Their existence primarily defines the external space. Before humans created interior spaces, they were part of the infinity of nature. Only through the demanrcation of the interior, humans were lifted from their natural state of being and immediacy. A house protects from adverse conditions. The interior of modern society is functional and creates dense anonymity and thereby new problems. Every deranged "interior", be it through the influence of nature, time or man himself, shocks and motivates reflection.
